Intake and exhaust manifold for the truck engine
Koksa, David ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on creating a thermodynamic model of the diesel engine for heavy commercial vehicle. After the model was created, new intake and exhaust pipes are designed based on simulations. Those proposed pipes variants are compared with the series design. After evaluating individual variants, the final version of the new pipes is selected and 3D model for this version is created.
Turbocharged 1,2L Spark Ignition Engine
Věříš, Michal ; Svída, David (referee) ; Bradávka, Marek (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on performance options for turbocharged 1.2 litre spark ignition engine. First of all, couple of engine variants are compared and the most suitable one is chosen. Production turbocharger is determined upon the calculation of compressor parameters. Simulation in Lotus Engine Simulation and GT-Power is done to confirm co-operation of turbocharger with engine. Two stage serial turbochargers are also compared and the most effective pair is chosen for simulation. Research through the possibilities for increase the power output and the detail focus on turbochargers is also part of this thesis.
CI-engine Variable Intake System
Cihlář, Lukáš ; Štěpánek, Karel (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The master´s thesis focuses on design of intake manifold with swirl flap for diesel engine. In addition to the design of sub-components of the intake manifold are also investigated the influence of new solutions on engine parameters. The influence of the new solution is compared to the original version and a reference model simulating intake manifold used by competitors. After simulation of thermodynamics and fluid flow are evaluated each variants.
Lotus sport cars
Sojka, Michal ; Mauder, Tomáš (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis is trying to describe the development of Lotus sports car. The aim of the project is delineate development and construction of sport cars. The first part outlines is about history of the company of Lotus from establishment to today. Followed by second part of work, were are in detail discussed successful cars of Lotus Company, which are divided to the branch of their function - sport cars, Formula 1 cars and racing specials for 500 mil Indianapolis.
The effect of soil successional development in spoil heap on plant germination and growth
Pavlíčková, Hana ; Frouz, Jan (advisor) ; Mudrák, Ondřej (referee)
Previous field research show, that late successional species correspond with soil development, especially with organomineral A horizon developing. Aim of my thesis was to compare plant growth on different types of soil from spoil heaps. They were taken from three chronosequencies of different age - nonrecultivated and soils recultivated with planting of alder (Alnus) and spruce (Picea). In my research were used 7 types of plants - Arrhenatherum elatius, Centaureae jacea, Festuca rubra, Lychnis flos-cuculi, Lotus corniculatus, Plantago major, Trifolium medium. Spontaneous sites support more species than reclaimed ones this difference increase with plot age without distinct difference between early and late succession species. Key words Succession, recultivation, germination alder (Alnus), spruce (Picea), Arrhenatherum, Centaureae, Festuca, Lychnis, Lotus, Plantago, Trifolium.
